Managing Users
As an admin, you manage all the family accounts from the Admin > Users page.
Creating a new user
- Click the Create User button.
- Enter their display name — this is what appears on the login screen.
- Choose a role (see below for what each role means).
- Set a passcode for them (at least 4 characters).
- Click Create.
Let the family member know their name and passcode so they can log in.
Understanding roles
| Role | What it means |
|---|---|
| Admin | Full access to everything, including all admin features. Can manage other users, AI models, and system settings. |
| Adult | Standard access with optional Safe Mode. Can choose to enable content safety per conversation or by default. |
| Teen | Standard access with mandatory safety rules. Age-appropriate content guidelines are always active and cannot be disabled. |
| Child | Standard access with strict safety rules. Child-friendly content guidelines are always active and cannot be disabled. |
Changing a user's role
Click the role dropdown next to any user to change their role. The change takes effect immediately. You cannot change your own role.
Resetting a passcode
If a family member forgets their passcode:
- Find them in the user list.
- Click the three-dot menu next to their name.
- Select Reset Passcode.
- Enter a new passcode and save.
- Let them know the new passcode.
Disabling a user
Click the three-dot menu and select Disable User. Their name will be greyed out on the login screen and they will not be able to sign in. You can re-enable them at any time using the same menu.
This is useful if someone should temporarily lose access without deleting their data.
Deleting a user
Click Delete User from the three-dot menu. This is permanent and removes:
- All their conversations and messages
- All their uploaded files
- Their profile and settings
You must type the user's name to confirm. You cannot delete yourself.
