Managing Users

As an admin, you manage all the family accounts from the Admin > Users page.

Creating a new user

  1. Click the Create User button.
  2. Enter their display name — this is what appears on the login screen.
  3. Choose a role (see below for what each role means).
  4. Set a passcode for them (at least 4 characters).
  5. Click Create.

Let the family member know their name and passcode so they can log in.

Understanding roles

RoleWhat it means
AdminFull access to everything, including all admin features. Can manage other users, AI models, and system settings.
AdultStandard access with optional Safe Mode. Can choose to enable content safety per conversation or by default.
TeenStandard access with mandatory safety rules. Age-appropriate content guidelines are always active and cannot be disabled.
ChildStandard access with strict safety rules. Child-friendly content guidelines are always active and cannot be disabled.

Changing a user's role

Click the role dropdown next to any user to change their role. The change takes effect immediately. You cannot change your own role.

Resetting a passcode

If a family member forgets their passcode:

  1. Find them in the user list.
  2. Click the three-dot menu next to their name.
  3. Select Reset Passcode.
  4. Enter a new passcode and save.
  5. Let them know the new passcode.

Disabling a user

Click the three-dot menu and select Disable User. Their name will be greyed out on the login screen and they will not be able to sign in. You can re-enable them at any time using the same menu.

This is useful if someone should temporarily lose access without deleting their data.

Deleting a user

Click Delete User from the three-dot menu. This is permanent and removes:

  • All their conversations and messages
  • All their uploaded files
  • Their profile and settings

You must type the user's name to confirm. You cannot delete yourself.
