Safe Mode Preference
Safe Mode adds content safety guidelines to your conversations, guiding the AI to keep its responses appropriate.
Who can use Safe Mode?

Enabling Safe Mode by default
If you are an adult or admin, you can choose to have Safe Mode turned on automatically for all your new conversations:
- Go to My Profile (click your name in the top-right, then "My Profile").
- Find the Safe Mode toggle.
- Turn it on.
All new conversations you create will now start with Safe Mode enabled. Existing conversations are not affected.
Per-conversation Safe Mode
Even if you have not enabled Safe Mode by default, you can turn it on for individual conversations. When you start a new conversation (before sending your first message), you will see a toggle in the chat header. Once enabled for a conversation, a green Safe Mode badge appears to let you know it is active.
Note: Once Safe Mode has been turned off for a conversation that has messages, it cannot be re-enabled for that conversation. You would need to start a new one.
